I TRIED A BEER RINSE AND IT BRIGHTENED MY GRAY HAIR
Want shiny soft and bright gray hair? Have you ever used beer on your hair? I have tried it twice
with two different brands and I LOVE IT.
WHAT DOES BEER RINSE DO FOR NATURAL HAIR?
Beer has natural B vitamins which help condition the hair.
The sugar helps swell and tighten the cuticle to give the hair shine and softness and volume.
Malt and hops have protein which helps strengthen hair.
WHAT KIND OF BEER DO I USE?
Ok now that you know beer is amazing for the hair, you may be wondering what kind of beer to use. It doesn’t matter what brand of beer you use. I used two brands. Corona (lol) and Budweiser. You can also try non-alcoholic beer also. It is recommended to use “flat beer” in order to avoid the drying effects of the alcohol.

HOW DO YOU RINSE YOUR HAIR WITH BEER?
I opened the beer and poured it into a mason jar and let it get flat. I read online that overnight is all that is needed. I let it sit for two nights cause I got lazy lol. So if that happened to you and you have a two-day-old beer, know that it still works.

You don’t have to use a bowl as I did in the video. You can also just pour the beer over your hair just making sure each strand is coated.
You can finish here and rinse with cold water.
You can also add conditioner after the rinse as I did in the tutorial video. I used Bask & Bloom’s Hair Masque which added moisture.

Surprising Result of Beer Rinse
My hair was so soft and shiny and I was surprised that it brightened my gray natural hair, even better than apple cider vinegar rinse.
How Often do I do a Beer RInse?
Some say weekly, some say monthly. I have used a beer rinse for the past two wash days and my gray hair loves it. As I always say you have to try it for your hair and see how your natural hair responds.
