Who am I?

About Me

Hello, my name is Nina. I decided I was done being a slave to my roots in May 2017 and haven’t looked back since. 

What I used to hate, I now love and see in a different way. I wanted to share my journey with gray hair to let other young women of color who are prematurely graying know they can embrace their silver crown at any age they choose.

Besides giving practical help for how to care for your gray hair I wanted to provide emotional support and words of affirmation for those who are thinking of or have embraced their gray hair.

Words of affirmation are my love language. In challenging times of my life coping with chronic illness, becoming a special needs mom I would find blog posts or YouTube videos of women just like me who made me feel less alone and validated how I felt.

I hope to do the same with my website. I hope you see yourself in my story, know you are not alone, and be inspired to give yourself the love and compassion you need to cope with change and challenges in your life.
