I came across Deeper Than Hair TV's YouTube video about adding shine to dull hair. In the video, she suggested using a clear rinse to bring life and shine to dull hair. The woman's hair she was doing in the video did not have gray hair but her hair was color-treated. She used the Adore Semi-Permanent Clear Rinse.
I remember when I used to color my hair using rinses, I did love the shine that my hair had. Especially when I used Jazzing rinses. So I decided I would try to use the clear rinse because it can give me the same benefits without the deposit of color.
My Results
I honestly canβt say that the results were drastically different as far as my cuticle and my gray hair being less frizzy. I think if my hair was relaxed I would feel more of a difference. I also think next time if I added more direct heat maybe the results would be different. I am also going to try the Adore Clear Rinse next to see if there is more of a difference than the JAZZING brand.
I did see a nice shine to my gray hair though especially when I went outside. So I would use this method again for the shine factor.
The Benefits of Clear Rinses
They are low cost.
They are easy to apply.
You can do it yourself, not having to go to the salon to get it done.
They help lay down the cuticle which helps with frizz and also to bring shine to the hair all without adding color.
When our hair is gray it can be more porous and more likely to frizz this clear rinse is a great cheap option to add shine to your gray hair.
